Children And Prayer…

Luke 11:9-10 – So I tell you: Ask, and it

will be given to you; seek, and you will

find; knock, and the door will be opened

for you. For everyone who asks receives,

and the one who seeks finds, and to the

one who knocks, the door will be opened.

The ministry of prayer should not only be vital to our walk with Christ, but our children’s as well.

The truth is, what children see and hear are taken in like water to a sponge. Are we placing the importance of prayer in our children’s lives, or are we allowing entertainment to be first and what the world places high on its scale of importance.

I desire to see more joy in my childs eyes when they receive a blessing, rather than a new video game or electonic device of some sort.

What has become most important in your child’s life?

And in yours?

As we go through our daily lives, prayer can be happening…while your in the car…cleaning house…etc…

Our children don’t hear our internal prayers…but do they see us put it into action on the outside?

Are we showing them the importance of prayer in our lives? Are we praying with them.

Be reminded to today of the importance of praying with and for our children.

Prayer is far more powerful than we realize. It is our life line to our Lord and Savior.

Just as we want our children to know what to do in an emergency situation…to call 911…do they

know how to talk to God? Do they know where do go in time of spiritual and emotional emergencies? Do they know how to maintain an everyday prayer time with the Lord?

Think on these things today and remember the grand importance prayer has in our lives and the lives of our children.
