Christmas Reading

Throughout this Christmas season we have had numerous books make a home on our coffee table.
Each month I switch out books to holiday titles and season related books. Here are just a few of the books we’ve been ready this cold winter season.
The Berenstain Bears and the Joy of Giving (Berenstain Bears/Living Lights)

We absolutely love this book! The Berenstain Bear books were fantastic to begin with, and then they added their Living Lights series. You won’t regret reading this!

A warmhearted story of Sam and his Mother baking goodies and taking them to neighbors, driving and walking through the snow and coming home and putting on their warm socks and sitting by the fire. A great book to read when drinking hot cocoa and cuddling with your little ones.
A book of giving and encouragement.

Although this is a long time favorite for years and years, it just made a home in our house this year. First published it 1962 Ezra Jack Keats does a great job of writing the actions and thoughts of a child.
A simple little book about a little boy named Peter and his walk through the snow.

The list could go on and on. I chose to share only a few of what we have in our home library, I am certain you have many also in your home. What are some of your children’s favorite Christmas and cold wintry books?

As you enjoy the continuation of your winter season I hope that there will be plenty of time for you to sit and read with little eyes watching and little ears listening!

Enjoy friends!

  1. You are so right! It's so neat to remember books you read as a child. There is just something about strong written words in a good book that cling to one's memories!
